About

We are a chapter of a national organization that seeks to increase awareness, respect, and sensitivity to differences among all individuals and communities in the field of veterinary medicine. We aim to both increase the accessibility of veterinary medicine to the general public as well as teach our own members, future veterinarians, about the importance of cultural competency and being sensitive and respectful to people of all demographics and backgrounds so that no one feels as though their voice doesn't matter.

Benefits of Joining

  • Prepare yourself for life during and after vet school by identifying implicit biases and gaining cultural competency
  • Connect with classmates to discuss and promote DEI in our community
  • Learn more about the unique backgrounds of your fellow veterinary colleagues

Events

  • Lunch Talks on Camous
  • Diversity Week
  • Community Outreach/ Mentorship
