About
By joining the Vet Aide Club, you can learn more about opportunities to gain practical, hands-on experience in a variety of animal care fields. Our members come from a variety of animal-related disciplines, including Animal Science, Avian Science, and Wildlife Fish and Conservation Biology. As a member, you can apply to any of our many internship opportunities to volunteer with the UC Davis Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital (VMTH). Joining VAC also connects you to other students who have similar interests in animals care or veterinary medicine. Overall, the Vet Aide Club strives to promote fellowship among its members and to provide them with all of the opportunities to be competitive in animal care fields.
Benefits of Joining
- Gain hands on experience by participating in VMTH Internships and shadowing veterinarians in multiple settings (cardio, primary care, etc.)
- Learn about different opportunities for pre-vets across the campus in terms of veterinary experience, research, and field work
- Shadow veterinary students for a day by going to the UC Davis SVM and learn about Veterinary School
