A student-run subunit of a national professional organization for students, faculty, and professionals of fisheries and aquatic biological sciences!
The Sacramento-Davis Student Subunit of the American Fisheries Society is to advance science, promote professional development, and disseminate science‐based fisheries information for the global protection, conservation, and sustainability of fisheries resources and aquatic ecosystems. We focus on providing resources for undergraduates and graduate students pursuing a career in fisheries, such as sharing job and internship opportunities, setting up professional development workshops, and supporting students presenting research at regional conferences. We also participate in public outreach events and host social events to aid students in networking and building experience.
