About

Pi Beta Phi is one of the oldest women's sororities in the U.S. It promotes friendship, leadership, and academic excellence, with core values of integrity, respect, and lifelong commitment. Known for its philanthropy, Pi Beta Phi focuses on literacy through its Read > Lead > Achieve initiative, providing books to children in need and fostering a love of reading. With over 300,000 members and chapters at more than 200 universities across the U.S. and Canada, the sorority offers a strong network, leadership development, and scholarship opportunities. At the UC Davis branch, it helps contribute to local schools and the community and puts on one of the largest student-run events on campus, Arrowjam, an inter-Greek and sports team dance competition. Members are encouraged to uphold high academic standards and fully embody the sorority's motto: "Friends and Leaders for Life."
