The mission of the Las Raíces Pre-Law Student Association at the University of California, Davis is to provide a means for educating & creating accessibility into the field of law for Latinx students as well as students of other historically underrepresented marginalized communities. Las Raíces Pre-Law Student Association will promote academic achievement and scholarship within each student's respective field of study and provide a pathway between students and law school.
Weekly general meetings that will involve legal field guest speakers and/or social collaborative events with other Pre-Law and Latinx organizations on campus
Social gatherings that include Farmer's market trips, Karaoke Night, Study Jams, Bowling, and more
Field Trips to Stanford Law, King Hall (UC Davis School of Law), UC Law (Formerly Hastings), Berkeley Law, the Yolo Superior Court, and the Capitol
Law School timeline, resume, personal statement, LSAT, and Personal and Professional Workshops
Community Service opportunities that include volunteering at an Immigration Asylum Clinic in Sacramento
Gain valuable insight from guest speakers in the legal field and law school visits
Gain experience in fun debates and be able to get involved in our Law Journal Series
