Transportation design competition team focused on teaching members the skills to excel in the transportation industry
Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is a student-run project competition club. We mainly consist of civil engineers, but we are also open to planners and other transportation enthusiasts. Each year we compete at a competition where we compete against ITE chapters from other schools to fix a local transportation issue. We pride ourselves on setting members up to succeed in the transportation industry through project experience, allowing members to learn AutoCAD, research, report writing, and presentation skills. As a club full of transportation enthusiasts there are plenty of networking options within the club as well as outside because we bring in transportation companies to talk about what they do, while also networking with our own club members. We teach members everything needed to work on our project so we encourage all to join regardless of year or experience!
