The UC Davis chapter of the @girlupcampaign global initiative 🌎⭐️ Uniting girls to change the world! 🦋
Girl Up at UC Davis is a chapter of the Girl Up United Nations Foundation initiative. We aim to stand up for girls, speak up for programs that help them thrive, and rise up as a community of advocates to change the world for good. As Girl Up at UC Davis, we act as liaisons in Davis and on the UC Davis campus on behalf of the Girl Up United Nations Foundation initiative. The United Nations Foundation founded Girl Up in 2010 and works with global community partners to achieve gender equality worldwide. The members of Girl Up at UC Davis participate in Girl Up’s global mission by assuming the role of Girl Up “Campus Leaders.” We aim to help our members enhance their leadership skills through community organizing, goal setting, and effective communication. We hold events, meetings, and partner with other campus clubs or groups in the community to advocate for Girl Up and our club’s mission. Additionally, we fundraise. All funds collected contribute to the education, health, safety, and leadership for girls worldwide. Girl Up at UC Davis strives to be an effective, entertaining, and fair group with a positive environment. We hope to impact the lives of our members, community, and beyond.
