Food Tech Club is the University of California, Davis student chapter of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) committed to offering career development for future food scientists.
Throughout each quarter, Food Tech Club holds bi-weekly general meetings and additional sessions to connect students to events such as guest lectures, professional workshops, food industry tours, and networking events. Taking part in these opportunities gives students a chance to gain a deeper understanding of the diversity of the food industry as well as the career opportunities and options it offers. Food Tech Club also keeps students posted on opportunities for scholarships, internships, and careers. Food Tech Club is an active participant in regional and nation-wide food competitions, in which student teams work together to compete with other schools in product development. These competitions allow students to learn practical skills using their Food Science knowledge, further preparing them for a career in the food industry.
