Engineers Without Borders at Davis is a non-profit organization for students to apply engineering and communication skills to help others.
EWB at UC Davis currently has two ongoing projects in both Bolivia and Peru. The Bolivia Project focuses on building latrines and the Peru Project works on water collection using spring boxes. These projects each have a communications team, budget team, culture and education team, health and safety team, and construction/technical team. This gives members diverse tasks that provide different skills based on one's interests and the opportunity to interact with different disciplines of engineering and other engineers. Additionally, these help members develop skills in various areas that will be useful in their careers.
