Desi Student Association

About

The Desi Student Association of the University of California, Davis was created by students as an outlet through which South Asian students can come together to help raise awareness and celebrate the South Asian culture and heritage. This organization hones in on practicing cultural inclusivity within the South Asian populations at UC Davis.

Benefits of Joining

• All of our events are open to the public and there is no membership required! This means that students don't have the pressure to keep up with membership requirements and can bring their friends along as well.
• Celebrate cultural festivals and events, providing a platform for members to share their South Asian heritage with a wider audience.
• Building connections within the club can lead to friendships and professional relationships that may be beneficial in the future.

Events

• Desi Bash: Our biggest event of the year! The Desi Bash or DSA Bash is a night full of dancing, performances, food, activities, and lots of fun!
• Collab events: DSA collabs with a lot of other clubs to bring you guys the best and most interactive events, while also creating a space where new connections and friendships can be made. Some of our past collabs include a basketball charity tournament, a cultural night, parties, and many more!
• Game nights: Every quarter we host a game night with many different games like UNO, poker, cards, snakes and ladders, LUDO, Desi Chat, and many more! We offer snacks and chai, along with an opportunity to have fun and meet new people.
