Davis Karate Club

Practicing Shotokan Karate. Kihon, Kata, and Kumite!

About

Davis Karate Club is a community that learns and practices the art of karate. Many styles of karate are practiced, but we will be focused mainly on a style called Shotokan. No karate experience is required and everyone is welcome to join! Karate literally translates to “empty hand” in Japanese, and it is a martial art that originated in Okinawa. Together we will learn kihon (basics), katas (forms), and kumite (sparring) from Shotokan. Most importantly, we wish to share the culture of karate.
