Learn competitive programming and solve interesting problems!
The Davis Competitive Programming Club (DCPC) is a student-run club for learning competitive programming and solving problems. We usually meet once per week, and each meeting is 2 hours long. We generally give a 1-hour lecture on a topic and then spend the next hour working on problems related to the topic. All of our meetings are very casual so feel free to drop in whenever! Meeting times change every quarter, which will be announced in the discord. Competitive Programming can be done in many languages, so if you know how to program, you're ready to start competitive programming! \n\nSeparately from our general meetings (and DCPC in general), we hold a selection contest for our ICPC teams in Fall quarter, and Slobo, our club advisor, holds team practices on Saturdays. This requires sign up, so if you would like to participate, please sign up for the UC Davis ICPC mailing list! https://lists.ucdavis.edu/sympa/info/icpc\n\nFinally, we host our own competitive programming contest called Aggie Competitive Programming Contest around springtime. It's a great way to test your problem solving skills, and there are usually prizes too! Here's the ACPC 2024 website if you want to check it out: https://acpc-ucd.com/
