The Davis Chinese Orchestra is a registered UC Davis student-run traditional Chinese music performance group. Our mission is to preserve and promote the rich heritage of Chinese music and culture, and to bring this timeless art form to the wider audience. We believe that music has the power to connect people and cultures, and our goal is to create a bridge between the past and the present, between China and the rest of the world. Our performances are not just about playing music, but also about sharing the cultural values, beliefs, and traditions. Through our performances, we hope to bring the beauty of Chinese traditional music and culture to life, and to create a lasting impression that will linger long after the performance has ended.
