About
The Chicanx Latinx Collegiate Association is a student-run organization dedicated to providing a welcoming and engaging community for Chicanx/Latinx students. We are focused on four pillars: Personal Development, Social Development, Community Development, and Political/Cultural development. We meet weekly on Tuesdays, hosting events ranging from fun social games and outings to resume or political workshops. Through this we empower students to become the best Latinx Aggies they can be! Additionally, by joining our Familia program, you can become a part of a close-knit group of peers with additional social outings and support. We are open to everyone, regardless of academic or cultural background.
Typical events & activities
Personal Development: Resume building workshops, Career center workshops, etc.
Social Development: game nights, field/sports days, etc.
Community Development: donation drives, letter-making, Breast Cancer walk, etc.
Political/Cultural Development: Political advocacy workshops, cultural awareness, etc.
End of year banquet and trip
Monthly Familia meetings
Collaborations with other UCD student organizations

How to get involved
Our weekly Tuesday meetings are open to everyone. You can also join our revamped Familia program to become a part of one of our Familias! We also recruit a few committee members during Fall Quarter to provide valuable hands-on experience managing our organization.
