Student-led organization dedicated to promoting humanitarian values, providing volunteer opportunities, and raising awareness about health, safety, and disaster relief efforts
The American Red Cross Club at UC Davis is a student-run and healthcare based organization devoted to carrying out the American Red Cross mission statement: To prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. We achieve a safer community by giving fire/earthquake safety presentations and spreading disaster preparedness awareness. We also provide members with volunteering opportunities, survival tips, CPR/first aid training, blood drives, international awareness events, and socials.
Community Service (e.g. Grace Gardens, Yolo Food Bank, Davis Community Meals, Nazun, etc.)
Health and Safety (e.g. Hands-Only CPR Training and Certification, Blood Drive, Stop the Bleed)
Preparedness Education (e.g. Sound the Alarm, Prepare with Pedro, Choose Your Own Adventure)
International Awareness (e.g. Farmer's Market Tabling, Veteran's Day Card Making, IHL Movie Night)
Develop valuable skills in areas such as CPR, first aid, disaster preparedness, and educational leadership
Actively engage in community service and volunteer work in the Davis and Greater Sacramento areas
Increase awareness and knowledge to global humanitarian issues, fostering a broader perspective on the challenges faced by people around the world
