Game Development & Arts Club

Artists, musicians, writers, and programmers come together to share in their love of game-making! No previous experience required.

About

GDAC at UC Davis is a student-led organization that provides a space for students to learn about game development, build portfolios, and connect with like-minded peers. No previous experience is required! We are passionate about game-making and the interdisciplinary collaboration that it necessitates. Through workshops, socials, and quarterly game jams, we hope to foster the spirit of game-making in Davis and create a community where a shared love of gaming unites us. Our workshops mainly cover topics in digital game development, but analog game developers are also welcome :)

Typical events & activities

Workshops (e.g. Intro To Unity, Game Audio, Character Design Workshop)

Game Jams (hosted every quarter! in teams, make a game based on a prompt in 48 hours)

Pass-The-Controller Nights (e.g. Journey, Minit, Until Dawn)
